Mystery Mood

Identify the moods in your mystery and the strategies that the author uses to create these moods.  Make sure to use specific examples with page numbers from the book, and explain how these examples show the strategies that the author used.

Auggie's Character

Page 80 of Wonder ends with Auggie claiming, "I was pretty sure I would never go back to school again."  Do you think Auggie should or should not go back to school based on what we know of his character?  Answer the question using and siting specific examples from the book.

Historical Setting Impact

How does the setting of your novel affect the story?  How do both the physical location and historical timer period impact the characters or plot?  Be specific by using detailed examples and quotes complete with page or at least chapter numbers.

Mystery Mood

What mood is present in your mystery, and how does the author create that mood?  Be sure to back up your arguments with explanations and specific examples.  Remember to think about the strategies we've been talking about in class.  You will be graded with the 6th Grade MEL-Con Rubric.
